Adam popped by recently to collect the 7’2 Coaster wooden surfboard he made with us back in August…
The last time Adam would have seen his handiwork was on day five of our make your own wooden surfboard workshop, just after applying the final touches, stamping and signing off. As Adam said his goodbyes, the board lay on the trestles ready for its trip to our friend Paul, who finishes our surfboards with fibreglass and epoxy resin.
It wasn’t long before Adam returned through our big blue doors to stroke the freshly finished, newest addition to his quiver, and take a photo for the full circle moment we love to share with our workshoppers.
A bonus to the occasion was that it happened to coincide with our AGM weekend, where we invite everyone who has ever made a wooden surfboard with us, back to the workshop where we meet and head for a surf, before returning for a slap up evening meal and shindig.
So Adam got the chance to wax up and paddle out!
We can’t wait to catch up with Adam in the future to find out how he has been getting on with his fresh new wooden surfboard, we will be looking forward to hearing a ride report, in the meantime enjoy the waves!
