Annual Gathering of Makers!

We look forward to the AGM every year!

It’s always such a great day, no matter what the surf is doing, because it means we get to catch up with folks who have joined us over the years, usually for some time in the sea and food in the evening.

Happily the waves and sun came out to play, with hip-high peelers greeting us as we arrived at a popular beach on the North Coast.

Joined by past workshoppers who had travelled from all over, we paddled out and floated around in the sunshine, chatting and hooting each other into the summertime swell as it swept the sandbanks beneath us.

There were plenty of waves to go around, perfect for all abilities and everyone caught one!

It was awesome to see so many wooden surfboards in the water, knowing that each one carried with it a story, starting with being made during one of our 5 day workshops.

After the surf we planned to meet back up at Canteen, the cafe just across from our big blue doors, for a slap up meal and a few beverages, where the party could continue.
