Chris’s Surfboard Making Week

20 . 03 . 26

A few weeks ago we were joined by Chris, for 5 days to make his very own 7’4 Island Hopper

To watch a brand new workshopper take the components in front of them, from frame to surfboard in 5 days is always a special experience.

It was great having Chris in the workshop and he took to each task well, having done a little woodworking in the past, learning the techniques and hand tools, adapting to each process as the week went on.

With the woodwork element complete, the surfboard will now be taken up to our friend Paul for the finishing touches, sealing the board, polishing it and adding a glass on fin.

We can’t wait for Chris to return for the collection of his fresh new wooden surfboard!

If you would like to join us just like Chris for a week and take some time away from screens and the hustle and bustle, click here!

All of our sustainable, hollow wooden surfboards are made using wood from local, regenerative woodlands and are intended for a lifetime of waves. Custom made or make your own.
