Despite the small period and washy conditions, we managed to find some fun waves on the longboard!
When we first arrived at the beach it was just coming off high tide and there were some small fat looking waves pushing in, so we thought it best to take the longboard in, so we could make the best of it. Upon paddling out it become clear that there were actually some sets that were bigger and dumping onto the sand as the tide went out. Luckily we had a small window when some of the waves were makable before the wind made it pretty unsurfable. We were stoked to line up on a few and it turned out to be a good surf, with some lovely walls to race along!
James was riding our 9’1 Wicket wooden surfboard.
