Bellyboard heaven at the bottom of the hill, with barrels for everyone!
With a bit of swell left over from the weekend, and the tide coming up to high, we weren’t sure what to expect on Monday as the banks at the beach have not been great recently.
We had a good crew turn up and we all chose to take bellyboards to whomp around in the shorebreak, with James choosing to paddle out back on his 9’1 Wicket for the set waves.
The bellyboarders made the right call, as the waves were not breaking until late, onto a stoney beach, which was not ideal for the longboard!
There was plenty of waves for everyone with the occasional barrel to be had, overall an awesome and memorable session.
Bring on next week!
All of our sustainable, wooden bellyboards are made using wood from local, regenerative woodlands and are intended for a lifetime of waves.
