Bellyboard Workshop Gift

Description

Bellyboarding might just be the simplest way to enjoy waveriding on a piece of wood and it’s deeply entwined in the history of British surfing, which is why we love it. The boards themselves often become highly treasured possessions and we’d like to share the fun of making them with you.

Often, they are given as gifts to celebrate memorable birthdays or to simply celebrate a wonderful human.

The usual decisions, with regards to wood choice and workshop dates, can be a little overwhelming, so there is no need to worry about any of that right now.

Once you’ve bought the gift, we’ll post a gift certificate out to you so you have something to give the lucky person on the big day and the certificate will encourage them to get in touch directly with us so we can guide them through their decisions, either over the phone or via email.

When they join us for a day in the workshop, they’ll make their own bellyboard from locally grown timber. We’ll have created a blank to their specification and they’ll then be able to cut the outline, shape the rails and oil their board ready for a lifetime of waves, with us guiding them through each step of the process.

No previous experience or aptitude for making is necessary; we break everything down into bite-size chunks and support them at all times.
