Our workshop experiences are far and away our favourite weeks every year.

Often, they are given as gifts to celebrate memorable birthdays, big life events or to simply celebrate a wonderful human.

The usual decisions, with regards to board shape etc, can be a little overwhelming, so there is no need to worry about them right now.

Once you’ve bought the gift, we’ll post a gift certificate out to you to give to the lucky person. The certificate will encourage the recipient to get in touch with us so we can guide them through their decisions, either over the phone or via email.

When they join us they will build their paddleboard alongside a maximum of two other people, with us guiding them through each step of the process. No previous experience or aptitude for making is necessary; we break everything down into bite-size chunks and support them at all times.

Where can they stay?

If they need somewhere to stay for the week, here are a few ideas for local campsites, B&Bs and self catered accommodation.

If they struggle to find anywhere, they can always drop us an email and we’ll help them out.

Can they make any paddleboard they like?

The price above is for the entry level paddleboard workshop, which covers boards under 9 feet with fin boxes, our standard choice of wood layups and a matt finish.

Some of the decisions around board size, wood layups and fin options can incur an additional cost, so once we find out what the recipient’s dream paddleboard is, we’ll reach out to you to see if you’d like to cover the difference in price, or if you’d rather they pick up the tab.

If they go for our largest paddleboard (+£1000), with a custom wood layup (+£600), glass on custom fins (+£240) and a high gloss finish (+£250) – all the bells and whistles – you would be looking at an additional £2090.

Henry's Workshop Week

Henry joined us from Putney in London where he has access to the river Thames, a five minute walk from his house. He told us how important it was for him to be able to get outdoors and exercise with time on the river, and said he hoped to be able to take his new wooden paddleboard out at least once a week, as a good way to relax away from his day job as an A+E doctor.
