For James, Monday was spent settling into our workshop here at the top of the hill in Porthtowan, piecing together the internal frame of his surfboard before marking out and gluing it down to the bottom skin.
Joining him for the week is his dog Tess, and we all took a walk together down to the beach to enjoy the sun and a cafe lunch!
At the time of writing the first few rails strips are being carefully placed under the frame, ready to be built on to create the rails of James’s Pieces of Eight surfboard.

We hope you enjoy watching James’s hollow wooden surfboard come together as he continues to make and shape throughout the week!
All of our sustainable, hollow wooden surfboards are made using wood from local, regenerative woodlands and are intended for a lifetime of waves. Custom made or make your own.
