Monday Morning Surf Club!

29 . 06 . 26

With the period jumping up to 12 seconds and onshore winds at high tide, we popped around the corner hoping for shelter…

On first look there was barely a ripple, indicating that the tide was a little high, but giving no indication of what was to come!

There was the occasional wave staying open through to the inside, however the session was mainly comprised of clean up sets and closeouts.

James and Gani made the best of it, paddling around in the chaos and managing a couple of nice rides each.

James surfed his trusty 9’1 Wicket, although later admitted that he probably should have paddled out on something a little smaller, despite this he made a couple of impressive drops, and navigated the paddle outs with ease.

Gani was riding our 6’2 Swift which was perfect for maneuvering amongst the challenging conditions, and drawing some nice lines on the quickly shifting walls.

Watch out for more next week!

All of our sustainable, hollow wooden surfboards are made using wood from local, regenerative woodlands and are intended for a lifetime of waves. Custom made or make your own.
