You don’t have to go very far, or for very long, to feel as though you’ve broken out of your routine and had a bit of an adventure. A couple of weeks ago a few of us headed off straight from work on a weekday evening and enjoyed an overnight camping trip, surfing until it was too dark to see the waves peaking in front of us and then spending the night sat around the camp fire. Rising at first light we broke “camp” and left the beach looking as it had when we’d arrived the afternoon before, then got back in the sea and enjoyed a couple of hours of glassy peelers before the wind picked up and we headed off back to work late in the morning. So don’t worry if you haven’t got much time or enough money for a plane ticket; you don’t need very much at all.
Chris was riding his 6’8″ Riser in the evening and a 6’10” Jetty in the morning. Tony was riding his bellyboard in the evening and a 7’4″ Island Hopper in the morning.
