Boards, Bangers & Beers – An “Open Evening” Invitation

31 . 05 . 15

We have a date for your diary folks; on Friday, June 12th, the workshop will be open late and we are inviting anyone and everyone who is interested in what we do here at Otter Surfboards to come along after work from 6pm onwards and join us for a bbq, a few beers, and wooden surfboard chat.

We’ll have a couple of wooden surfboards on the trestles in various stages of completion for guests to take a look at, and there will be a cask of Driftwood Spars Brewery‘s Black Heads Mild for those able to indulge, as well as hot dogs with sausages from the award-winning Dunkirk Farm, provided by our great friends Jez and Ange.  At around 8pm one of us will hit the play button on Romain Juchereau’s film “Behind The Tide” which will be projected onto one of the walls here.  Our hope is that any of you who are interested in what we do here, and are curious about our surfboards and how we make them, can come along (without fear that you’ll be interrupting us at work) and have a look around, ask questions, and make a nice evening out of it.

Boards>Bangers>Beers will be happening on Friday the 12th of June, and we’ll light the BBQ for a 6pm start, but feel free to join us whenever you’re able to.  Hot dogs and beer will be available until we run out, otherwise please feel free to bring your own food and drink.  For those of you who haven’t stopped by the workshop before, our address is:

Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan, TR4 8HL.

There is a facebook event that you can “join”, and if you’re able to commit and click that button then we’d certainly appreciate it so that we have a rough idea of numbers to expect – but please don’t worry if you don’t.  We hope that you can make it and we look forward to seeing some of you on Friday 12th.
