Monday Morning Surf Club!

After feeling the disappointment of witnessing the terrible conditions, and knowing how unsurfable the waves were from experience, we were happy to remember the option of bellyboarding.

A no pressure approach to enjoying the sea, all you worry about is kicking hard enough to catch the wave, before clinging on and racing towards the beach, shooting out of the whitewater! A welcome break from the pressures that sitting in a surf line up can bring.

We had a blast sharing James’s traditional cedar bellyboard between us, and were happy that we didn’t head back to the workshop to wait for perfect waves.
