Onshore and coming up to high-tide, a sketchy paddle out but totally worth it…
We knew it was always going to be a little challenging this morning, with the conditions and especially the Northerly wind making a beach like Porthtowan very messy.
But we saw a few corners from the van and decided it’s always better to give it a go!
The paddle-out was far from easy, but once out back James was able to stroke into a few lumpy drops nice and early on his 9’1 Wicket. Gani and Max focused their efforts on the inside, taking the steeper fast breaking lefts and rights that were jacking up on the sandbar, surfing their 7’2 Coaster and 5’10 Fetch respectively.
Swimming around on the inside it was not easy to see the sets coming, and there was a lot of waves on the head for everyone, despite this we still managed to link up and get some footage, with James catching a fast right high-liner.
