Last week Alister joined us to make his own hollow wooden surfboard, here’s how he got on…
We first met Alister at the Southampton Boat Show in September last year, he approached our stand with curiosity and was blown away when we informed him that he would be able to make his own hollow wooden surfboard, just like the ones on show.
As you can see in the above clip, Alister had so many reasons for wanting to join us in the workshop, not just to make a surfboard. And we hope that the week delivered for him!
Alister’s Son Louis joined him for the last day of shaping which was special, Alister was able to show how he had spent the previous 4 days and Louis could spend some quality time on a joint project and a surfboard that they will both be able to enjoy.
Alister made a 7’4 Island Hopper which is one of our most popular shapes, and ideal for folks who might not get to the beach as often as they might wish.
If you would like to join us just like Alister to make your legacy surfboard, click here!
All of our sustainable, hollow wooden surfboards are made using wood from local, regenerative woodlands and are intended for a lifetime of waves. Custom made or make your own.
