Kingsley’s just finished off his “Desert” Island Hopper after a week of hard work, fuelled by lots of cups of tea. He’s really pleased with his finished board, and so are we. Kingsley lives on a smallholding in Hertfordshire and uses travelling to visit friends and family in either Devon or Scotland as easy excuses for regular surf trips. He was very interested in the provenance of the timber used for his board, being keen that he would be using locally sourced materials. His plan is to retire his regular polyurethane foam surfboard in favour of his new Island Hopper, giving him a one board “Desert Island Discs” quiver which will be much longer lasting and lower impact. He’s pictured above on Friday afternoon, relaxing having just signed off his new creation and surrounded by a few of the tools that he’s made good use of over the course of the week.
