October’s Make Your Own Wooden Surfboard Workshop

14 . 11 . 23

A couple of weeks ago we were joined by Gavin who came to make his own wooden surfboard, check out how he got on…

Gavin travelled from London by train and cycled from Redruth station to the Eco Park where our workshop is based, he stayed on site for the week in a shepherds hut that we had arranged, giving him a short commute to us each morning.

Gavin had been bought the workshop experience as a 40th birthday present by his wife and friends, and having had some previous experience shaping foam surfboards, was looking to make a surfboard that stands the test of time and that is suitable for a range of surf conditions, choosing our 7’2 Coaster.

Throughout the week Gavin took photos in and around the workshop to document his experience, and was kind enough to share them with us!
