The Seasaw balances the best of old and new…
9’4″ x 16″ x 22 7/8″ x 18 1/2″ x 3″ – 72.6 l
At 9’4” The Seasaw not an inhibitively long board, allowing some nimbleness in where it can be placed on a wave. The prospect, however, of spending considerable time with your toes curled over the nose, enjoying the feeling of not having any board under you at all, has also been a major consideration. A blend of a traditional plan shape with modern foils and rails, this is an accessible longboard for all.
The Seasaw uses a traditional planshape with width throughout giving the board speed and stability from its parallel rails and wide nose and tail, but we’ve foiled it out to increase its performance and manoeuvrability.
A flip in the nose, concave underneath and a lift in the tail allow this board to be locked into the pocket when up on the nose, whilst a foot over the fin will allow you to pivot the board and find a new line on a wave.
As with all of our wooden surfboard shapes, the Seasaw is available to be made by you on one of our 5 day workshops, here are the stories of some folks who have joined us to make their own…
All of our sustainable, hollow wooden surfboards are made using wood from local, regenerative woodlands and are intended for a lifetime of waves. Custom made or make your own.
