It’s that time of year again! We’ve spent the day helping to put up the signage for all of the Open Studios events that will be happening around Krowji (the creative community space where our workshop is situated) and getting ourselves ready to open the doors tomorrow. Open Studios Cornwall is running from tomorrow, Saturday May 25th, through to Sunday June 2nd and is a week where many artists, makers and creatives across Cornwall open up their workspaces to allow members of the public to come in and view the creative process and purchase work at studio prices.

Here at Krowji many of our neighbours are also involved in Open Studios so there is plenty to walk around and take a look at, so if you’ve been meaning to stop by and see what goes on here at Otter Surfboards then you can make an afternoon of it. Somebody (probably James!) will be in the workshop everyday from 11am – 4pm (our official Open Studios times) and there are a few surfboards in the trestles here in various stages of building plus a rack full of finished boards to check out, videos playing, handplanes and our little library of surf books and magazines to browse. Come on in and say hello!
