Surfers Against Sewage: Win a Workshop Week

06 . 11 . 14

Our friends over the hill at Surfers Against Sewage have had another great year in 2014, mobilising thousands of beach users in their spring and autumn beach cleans and earlier this month delivering their Marine Litter Report to the Houses of Parliament.  SAS work tirelessly to protect and improve the marine environment (in particular the “coastal bathing waters” that we surfers use so heavily) through their campaigns to reduce the single use plastics that plague beaches, warn water users of CSO (combined sewage overflow) discharges and raise awareness of waves as social and economic resources for coastal communities.

Their work transcends surfing and highlights many of the important issues that threaten the health of our oceans, and this year we are proud to once again be supporting them by donating a prize for their annual fundraising raffle.  We’re offering a place on one of our week long “Build-Your-Own” wooden surfboard workshop courses in 2015, so if you’ve ever wanted to join us to craft your own ride then purchasing a raffle ticket could be the answer.  If you strike out and don’t win a week with us then you could still end up winning any one of the twelve other fantastic prizes on offer.  Tickets are available from SAS by clicking here (£5 for a book of five)…best of luck!
